Obituary of Lynda Margaret Cigan

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of Lynda, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and cherished wife of Robert for 51 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Nichole (Michael) and Tiffany (Jeremy); Grandchildren: Brittney (Mathew), Katelyn (Brenden), Braydon, Jonah and Grace; brothers: Michael (Lourdes) and Paul and many other family and friends. 

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Lyn. She loved a quiet evening curled up on the couch watching a movie, a meal out with friends, browsing her favourite home store, wearing plaid shirts and she especially loved her sweet cat Milo. 

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff at North York General Hospital for their care and compassion. During her many hospital stays Lyn received over 40 units of blood which saved her life on many occasions giving us more time together. If you would like to do something to honour her and are able to do so please consider donating blood. 

In keeping with Lyn’s wishes a formal funeral will not be held. Instead we will gather to celebrate her life at a later date.

While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering.
