Obituary of Wilfred Freeman Williams

January 24, 1925 – February 17, 2025

A few weeks after Celebrating his 100^th Birthday at home with family and friends, Wilfred passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025 at Humber River Health Hospital. Beloved son, brother, uncle, friend; Wilfred is survived by his siblings Evelyn Tennyson, Alfred and Brent; cherished uncle of niece and caregiver Elaine, niece Joanne; nephews Donald, Owen, great nephews Michael (Nadine), Tait, Matthew. Predeceased by his siblings, Russell, Arthur, Alphonso, Robert; niece Victoria, nephews Raymond and Steven. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Born in Preston NS, Wilfred was a private kind gentle man with wit, and wisdom. He often reminisced about his life journey, living in Montreal, going to horse races, sports, history, the stock market and the evolution of technology. He was a great story teller.

Wilfred’s family would like to express our sincere heartfelt thanks and appreciation to his exceptional health care team; doctors, nurses, care coordinators, personal support workers, caregivers, therapists and gratitude to extended family and friends for their support, kindness, love and sympathy.

There will be no service. A Memorial will be held at a later date. Wilfred will be in our hearts forever. We will always remember him with love and respect. He will be missed.
