Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Kernohan

KERNOHAN, Mary Elizabeth

July 20, 1940 – March 7, 2025

Mary, the beloved wife of Ken, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto peacefully after a brief illness. She was deeply loved and will be missed by daughter Margaret and husband Henry, son Brian and wife Susy and grandchildren Megan, Ryan, and Jacklyn. Mary was predeceased by her husband Ken and grandson Joshua. Mary was the eldest daughter of Nelson and Margaret Tutt and was predeceased by her sisters Camilla, Catharine and Janet and brother Ernest and survived by sister Susan Baldwin. Mary worked for over 40 years as bookkeeper at Smith Transport, Cullen Milling, AG Simpson and the BGC West Scarborough and retired in 2016. Mary and Ken were both devoted members of Bridlegrove Bible Chapel since 1976. She will be missed by her friends there and her family for her generosity and sense of humour.

Visitation will be at The Old Mill on Friday June 6th from noon to 1:30 pm with a lunch reception to follow.
