Obituary of Jimmy McKenzie

In Loving Memory of Ronald Haughton McKenzie June 25th, 1940 – March 24, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Ronald Haughton McKenzie, affectionately known as Jimmy, on March 24, 2025 at Toronto Grace Health Centre. 

Born on June 25th, 1940, in Kingston, Jamaica, Jimmy led a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to his principles.

A lover of music, and a man of great style, Jimmy was also a skilled Goldsmith, known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail. His talent brought beauty to the lives of many, and his legacy will continue to shine through the work he left behind. Though he was a private individual, his hearty laughter and strong sense of loyalty touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Jimmy’s determination was a defining trait – a quiet strength that guided him through life's challenges, earning him the admiration of those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of his cherished family and friends.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and love that will never be forgotten.

Jimmy's family would like to express our sincere heartfelt thanks and appreciation to his exceptional health care team at the Toronto Western Hospital and the Toronto Grace Health Centre's Palliative Care unit. 

In honour of his wishes, there will be no service or visitation. A memorial will be held at a later date. Rest in peace, Jimmy, You were truly one of a kind.
