Obituary of Tina Barry

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, auntie and friend, Tina Barry at the age of 70, on September 20th, 2025 after a sudden return and battle with cancer. 

Tina was born on August 27th, 1955 in Amareleja, Portugal to Antonio and Maria Gomes. Tina's caring and compassionate nature led her to a long career as a Registered Nurse in Toronto, Ontario. In retirement, she enjoyed volunteering with the Healthy Beginnings Foodbank program, and Silver Circle Senior's Day group.

Tina was a voracious reader and loved animals and walking in nature. She enjoyed spending time with her family in Mississauga and Kawartha Lakes, Ontario and the Rocky Mountains of Alberta. Her bright smile, feisty and witty spirit, and big heart will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Team Cat Rescue, where Peppi, Tina's cherished cat, is being fostered or to The Canadian Cancer Society.
