Obituary of Beverley Bonita Delaney

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bonita Delaney, at the age of 63, formally of Newfoundland, where she would love to visit during the summer months and always referred to as “home”.  

Bonita fought a battle of sicknesses for many years with strength, courage and determination but lost her battle on November 19th, 2025.

She is now reunited with her beloved son, Brent Delaney,  with whom she absolutely loved so very much and her precious mom, Leona Newman, her very best friend.  Bonita held memories of her son and mom close through her sickness and to her final day.  The thought of them together again brings comfort to those that knew Bonita and the love she had for her family.

Bonita leaves behind her stepdad, Tim Newman, who she adored, respected so much and with so much courage trying to be there for him even during her toughest days.  One of her greatest joys was her grandchild, her beautiful granddaughter, Zoey, who brought light into her life and hope into her heart.  Bonita’s love for Zoey was unmeasurable and her legacy will continue through the gentle lessons, stories and love she leaves behind and the precious memories of time spent together.  

May she rest peacefully in the arms of those who went before her and forever be remembered by those who remain.

A Family service will be held in the future for one final trip “home”.
