Obituary of Eilleen Patricia Blondin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom Eilleen Blondin on December 10, 2025 at the Palliative Unit of St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Toronto. Mum just celebrated her 86 th birthday at home where she had stayed until her last week.

Born and raised in Montreal, QC, where she married, raised her children and enjoyed travelling & camping across Canada; time spent at the Blondin family cottage; extended rugby family and volunteering at the Children’s Hospital, she then moved to Toronto in 1979.
Family was at the heart of her life and mum loved having get-togethers at Chez 44. Travel was a joy, hiking the Bruce Trail a proud accomplishment, volunteering for Meals on Wheels deeply satisfying and maintaining lifelong friendships with connections made over the years so important to her.

Mum’s gift to all who knew her was her warmth, generosity of spirit and gratitude. She made everyone feel welcomed and cared deeply for those in her orbit.

Eilleen was predeceased by parents Millie and George Bradshaw, husband Art Blondin and long-time companion Kevin Harper. She is survived by siblings Dennis Bradshaw, Kay Bradshaw and Marnie McRae; children Kathy Godin, Don Blondin and Carolyn Blondin;
grandchildren Matt & Maddy Godin and Chloe Selena; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held when we’ll plant a tree in her honour, details to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Joe’s Palliative Care, your local food bank or a charity of your choice.
