Obituary of Juan Enrique Rios

On June 20, 2026, surrounded by his family, Juan Enrique Rios Omaña passed away peacefully at his home at Lakeshore Lodge in Toronto, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his wife, Gail Rios née Jones. Juan is survived by his three children, Juan (Tricia), Carlos (Jen), and Katherine (Chris); his grandchildren, Juan-Desmond, Carlos (Iaryna), Isabella, Clara, and Elisa; his beloved primas and their families in New York; and a large cherished extended family. 

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke (in the church hall), followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to Lakeshore Lodge City of Toronto LTC through the following portal: DonateTO Long-Term Care Homes, in memory of Juan. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lakeshore Lodge for their exceptional care over the past five years.
