Joanne Gale Fowler, born August 23, 1955, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Toronto, Joanne spent her entire life in the city she loved. She dedicated her professional life to the legal field, where her intelligence, diligence, integrity, and strong work ethic earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends throughout her career. Throughout much of her career, Joanne was known professionally as Joanne Devereux, a name many colleagues and friends will remember with great respect and affection.

A passionate Toronto Blue Jays fan, Joanne faithfully followed her beloved team through the years. Whether celebrating a winning season or cheering them on through challenging times, her enthusiasm and loyalty never faded.

Joanne will be remembered as an incredibly generous, loving, intelligent, and loyal woman whose warmth and kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel valued and cared for, and her devotion to those closest to her was among her greatest gifts.

Joanne was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joanne was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Fowler. She is survived by her sisters, Beverley Warner (Cliff) and Darlene Cheeseman.

Joanne is lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Goguen, her partner and best friend for more than 30 years. Together they shared a life filled with love, laughter, loyalty, and countless cherished memories. Joanne's passing will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to experience her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit.

Though Joanne's passing leaves an immeasurable void, her love, generosity, and enduring spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved her.

Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
