Obituary of Lydia Itiniant

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lydia Itiniant on June 13, 2026 in Toronto at the age of 94 years.

Lydia is survived by her husband Louis (Lazar) Itiniant, her daughter Nadine Itiniant, her son Michael Itiniant and her cherished grandchildren, Natasha and Kathryn. She is also survived by her brother Boris Mischenko. Lydia was pre deceased by her sister Vera ( Mischenko) Martin

Lydia was truly one of a kind. She had a strong spirit, active mind and no shortage of ideas and opinions- which she was never shy about sharing. Direct, determined, and sometimes wonderfully stubborn, she lived life on her own terms. She loved a good shopping experience and time spent in Collingwood/ Wasaga Beach and the simple pleasures that brought her joy.

In many ways she was ahead of her time, with an independence, strength and character that made her unforgettable.

She will lovingly be remembered by her family, extended family and friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lydia’s life will be held at a later date.
