A cremation casket the right way to transport the remains of a person to the crematorium. If you are going to hold a funeral service, the casket can also be placed at the funeral home. When a person is being cremated, you need to ensure that the casket doesn’t have any screws, nails, or other metal parts. It also needs to be relatively rigid and leak-proof.

How To Select a Cremation Casket

Most people aren’t clear about how a cremation takes place. Many have questions about selecting a cremation casket. At Cremation Care Centre, we offer tailored funeral services. Our knowledgeable team is here to help you with all the information you need about cremations and selecting the right casket.

1. Material Choices

There are various cremation casket materials to choose from. Since the cremation casket will be incinerated with the remains, look for an eco-friendly material such as:

  • Wooden (oak/mahogany, among others)
  • Particleboard (an affordable casket material)
  • Cardboard

Cremation Casket Cost

Cremation casket pricing can vary significantly depending on the material you opt for and can be $40.00 to $6,000.00 range. When sourcing it from a third-party vendor, make sure to check added transportation costs, if any. When you come to us with your requirement, our funeral director will help you with all the relevant information regarding the casket, the materials, and related costs.

Most funeral homes offer various cremation caskets, so you are sure to find something that suits your needs and fits right into your budget. You can also discuss this with your family before making a final decision.
