I just learned of Myrna's passing and am shocked and sad. Myrna was such an energetic, warm and intelligent woman and I always loved to engage in conversation with her. I am a neighbour who works in a related field so we had many common interests but who has not accomplished near what she had! I shall miss those conversations as well as her sunny and adventurous disposition.
My sincere condolences to her family - I'm sure you all have many great memories of your time with her and hope they will give you some comfort.

Dear Family of Myrna:
It was disbelief I felt when I heard of Myrna’s passing. I too believed that she could live forever. Myrna’s zest for life was as evident when I saw her last, (this past September) as it was 20 years ago, when I first met her. I have always respected and admired Myrna.
I will truly miss and feel a deep sadness, knowing that I will not see her again. Although I never met most of you, I recognized all your names in the obituary because of the loving way Myrna spoke of her family. To you Charles, Irene, Janet, Marcia, Ian, Nancy, Stephanie, Lukasz, Andrew, Lindsay, Matthew, Charles, Julia, Aidan, Isabella, Noah and Isla I send my sincere condolences. May you find comfort in knowing the full and compassionate life Myrna lived and may the memories give you comfort.

To Ian, Nancy, Jan, Marcia, Charles and Irene and all grandchildren,
What a beautiful tribute to your mom in that obituary. We are so sorry for the loss of your Mom and Grandma. Myrna was an exceptional woman, a truly beautiful and good person in every respect. We always enjoyed seeing her at family occasions. She always showed an interest in everyone and made a point of speaking to each one of us. And yes,she did like to engage in discussions, particularly politics. George, a devout Conservative, always said Myrna was his favourite Liberal.
Myrna's presence will truly be missed but she lives on in our memories.
We are thinking of you at this difficult time,
With love,
Rita, George, Alexander, Spencer, Emily and Lauren

I am so sorry to hear about Myrna's death. She was such a vibrant, visionary person, especially in the field of gerontology services which is where I knew Myrna at Downsview Services to Seniors in my time on the board of directors. During her time as ED of the agency, she brought so many innovative programs to enable elderly people to remain in their homes. I remember Myrna's unbridled enthusiasm for new services, new programs, all with the goal of helping frail people to live with better quality of life. My sincere condolences to all of her family.

I was so sad to hear the news - I respected Myrna for her abundant knowledge on current events but more importantly, always looked forward to her hugs at family gatherings and seeing the twinkle in her eye and lovely smile. Deepest sympathies and thinking of you all during these difficult times.
