Obituary of Ron Thompson

Thompson, Ron E. May 11, 1957 - Jan 28, 2020 Ron passed too early at 62. He did not live to enjoy his planned retirement with his loving wife, Sandra, but did watch his boys grow into awesome men. He will be sorely missed by his father, Lawrence, his sons, Brant and James, and their partners, Dixie and Krista. Brother to Mike & Hellen, Lisa & Randy, David & Sharon. Godfather to Andrew, Connor and Ceria. He was Uncle Ron to Ami, Renee, Melanie and their families. Ron took great pride in his transportation company, Thompson and Sons Enterprises, and worked with some terrific people who became great friends. In his 44 years of trucking, it was easier to list where he hadn't been, than where he had. Ron was lucky enough to live through the best years of trucking. The tail end of the "cowboy years", up to the present. From "Breaker, Breaker", to bluetooth headsets ... Ron spent much of his time on the road, commiserating with, and instigating, his many friends. Thank you to all our friends for their love and support over the last difficult months. A get together will be planned in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ron can be made to the charity of your choice.
