Obituary of Christopher John Watson

On Saturday March 7, Chris Watson (The Champ, Champion, Laser, Warrior just to name a few) lost his very courageous 3 year battle with ALS. He stayed positive & hopeful until nearing the end. When he realized the battle was lost he still remained courageous, calm and sure and asked to see his family. He passed away, peacefully, soon after. We didn’t know just how ready he was. Just one week before he was at a Leafs game with his Uncle. He was a proud & loving father, my husband, a loyal friend to hundreds, a son, an Uncle to many nieces & nephews, the best big brother, hockey player, nephew, Star Trek crew member, lover of sports, The Leafs, music, biertje and red wine. In the three years since his diagnosis Chris had the most incredible trip to Amsterdam with his best friend, 2 trips to Mexico and 2 roads trips sightseeing our way to & from Washington DC, Manhattan & Tennessee. It was about making memories. He was generous & forgiving. He loved everyone. The love he had for his friends and family will stay alive in my heart forever so it will live on. He will live on. We will celebrate his life in April, date & location to come.
