Obituary of James Ross Murray

James R. Murray (Jim) of Aurora On. formally of Angus On. passed away peacefully at home. surrounded by his family on March 24th, 2020, in his 82nd year. Jim was born on Jan. 04 1939 to Eugene and Kathleen Murray in Toronto On. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Maggie) of 59 years, His son Jamie Murray (Katherine) Barrie/Angus On. Daughters Katie Sinclair (Don) of Cold Lake Alberta. Kristin Layton (Dave) Aurora On. Ioana Neascu Murray (Xavier) of Hastings On.Jim was the loving Grandpa of Mathew Sinclair (Nikki) Robert Sinclair (Melanie) Jesse Layton(Sarah) David Layton. Dacia , Philip, and Gabriel Murray. Liam and Kaitlyn Murray . Loving Great-Opa of Ethan, Xander, Maddison ,Alexis Sinclair and Jax Sinclair.Loving brother of Sallie MacDougal of Amherst Mass..Predeceased by his son Jeffery Murray , his sisters Sue Huestis and Sharon Stroud. Jim worked as a Millwright at General Tire in Barrie and later at Biltrite Rubber in Toronto. He loved his job and was a good friend to all his co-workers. After he retired Jim and Maggie became Snowbirds and spent the last 16 winters at Camp Inn in Frostproof Fl. He loved it and made many wonderful friends there. Jim will be sadly missed by his wife and family but also by his many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. He loved life and lived it close to God. He was ready to go home to the Father. Jim was our gift from God. A mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Cancer Society if desired.
