Dear Zia & Family,
We were very saddened to hear about the passing away of dear Mazar, and have kept you all in our prayers.
We met this wonderful and fun loving couple many years ago at Julie and Dominic's place. My sister-in-law worked with Mazar in Karachi at Burroughs Welcome Pakistan. She only had the best to say about him.
At this very difficult time, may God give each one of you strength and courage to bear this loss. May God grant Mazar eternal rest and may his soul rest in peace.

Prayers and parties were a familiar affair at Lena and Peter's place and I have fond memories of Zia and Mazhar being a part of these gatherings. From the tributes, Mazhar was many things to his family and friends but what I remember most of all is that he was a faithful and caring friend to my parents until the end of their lives. I am grateful for that and also to Zia, Romana and Jason. We will miss his many acts of kindness and may his soul rest in peace.

Mazhar was very much apart of our extended family. He was an uncle to me. Zia and Mazhar were a constant in our lives and this was a testament to their close friendship with my parents. They were always apart of all our family celebrations for over 40 years. He was so very charming in all his conversations with Cyril and I. I must also say his hidden talent was his writing. He was always smiling and always very generous whenever he came to visit.
Zia, Romana, Jason, Sid and Leo our sincere condolences. May you find comfort to know how much he was loved and highly regarded by so many. We will miss him and remember him always.
Rest peacefully now Uncle Mazhar. God has taken the best.
Love
Debra, Cyril and Lucas.

We have many fond memories of Uncle Mazhar. He was such a kind and generous soul to everyone he encountered. We will always fondly remember his sense of humour and gentle nature. We will miss our many conversations and his intelligent insight of world events and astute advice. Uncle Mazhar was my reference for my first job after graduating.
Our children quickly grew very fond of him and we are so grateful to have been able to celebrate many happy family occasions together. We are sharing in your sadness as you remember him. We will miss him too.
Forever remembered, forever loved.

Mazhar was part of our extended family. Both he and Zia attended all our family milestones from Anniversaries to Weddings and from Baptisms to Birthdays. It was always a pleasure to have him and Zia join us for celebrations and parties. He was always happy to see us and for every occasion he would bring a big smile and delicious food. He was a very thoughtful and intelligent man and we always had great conversations on any topic.
Mazhar was our friend and we miss him dearly. We will cherish our memories of him and will keep him in our prayers.
On behalf of our family we offer our sincerest condolences to Zia, Romana, Sid and Leo.
God Bless you Mazhar and may you Rest in Peace.

Our memories of our beloved friend Mazhar are extensive. We met Mazhar and Zia in 1982 when we attended a party at
Dominic and Julie's house. There was an instant friendship connection. We have tons of wonderful memories of our friend
Mazhar. We went on many cottage trips together and did a lot of partying. Mazhar was a caring, loyal friend. He was also
very intelligent and could converse on any subject. Be it history, geography, politics, or medicine. He was also a fun-loving
guy who enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor and entertained us with his hilarious jokes. We will miss
our dear friend very much and his memories will have a special place in our hearts.
R.I.P dear Mazhar We will always remember you.
Zia, Renee, Jason, Sid, and Leo,
May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten
With our sympathy

Dear Zia, Renee and Jason and Leo and Sid:
No words can describe the sadness we all feel on the demise of our dear friend Mazhar.
Mazhar and Zia were the original friends of Michael (Goveas) and our dear (late) sister, Lettie, as well as Michael and Colette Fernandes. There are so many fond memories of Mazhar and his interesting discussions on various topics, during our many get togethers. We have no choice but to accept God's Will to take him away from us.
Nicole and Brent (Colette's kids) also remember him with affection and commented "we grew up with the Haq's …. we just cannot imagine we will not see him again." Even little Tristan and Chris were very sad and said to us - "we remember Uncle Mazhar - he was always so kind to us and gave us money to buy treats."
I close with our deepest sympathies to each one of you. Michael (Goveas) has asked to be included in this message of sympathy.
May Mazhar's soul rest in peace.
In sympathy,
Winnie D'Souza

On June 4, 2020 our dearest friend Mazar Haq went home. On this day we lost a role model and a profoundly good human being. We were blessed to share time with him on this earth.
To Zia, Reene, Jason, Sid and Leo, we extend our deepest sympathy and gratitude for the opportunity to have known this extraordinary man. May we draw inspiration from his life. We will not likely see the likes of him again, so it falls on us, as best we can, to follow the example that he set. So let us try to live our lives the way he did - with love, kindness and good humour. May God bless and keep him in peace!

We met Mazhar and his family through our sister in law Maggie approximately in 1978. Mazhar and Zia were new immigrants living in North York. Ever since then our friendship grew. He was a jovial man and was extremely knowledgeable about medicine.
If we did not keep in touch with him he made it a point to phone and ask us how we were doing. Through the many years of our friendship he very often gave us rides to our mutual friends homes for parties. We had lots of fun together. So many laughs. He use to say don’t worry be ready for parties.
His passing is a great loss for us. Our sincere condolences to Zia, Romana, Sid and Leo. We will miss him always. We pray for his soul and his joyful life in God’s paradise. Bye Mazhar. Rest In Peace.
Your friends Julie and Dominic
