Obituary of James French Harrison

On Sunday March 14, 2021, with his family at his side, James Harrison moved to the great beyond peacefully in his 70th year. James is predeceased by his parents Walter and Marjorie Harrison; brother Walter B. Harrison, and sister-in-law Lynn Harrison. James was the very loved and proud Daddy to Joseph Harrison and Jessica Harrison; Husband to Gina DeMarchi; cherished uncle to Wendy, Jeff (Tara) and Trip (Carol) Harrison and Jamie Anderson; great uncle to Beth, Walter, Thomas, William, Julia, Kate and Claire; brother-in-law to Dolores and James Anderson; and sincere family friend to Pat Allen and Juan Del Sol. James will also be sadly missed by many friends from near and far, some of whom are more recent, and some who he has known for his lifetime, especially Ronnie Brooks, Tucker VanHorn, Larry Morpaw, James Waterhouse, Shane Willens, Rick Gilling, Zal Bacchus, and Kashef Javeed. The family would like to thank James’ doctors Dr. Alexandra Binnie, Dr. David Katz and Dr. Alexandra Pawlina, along with the many nurses at Etobicoke General Hospital who with great skill and compassion took such great care of James and his family in his last weeks and days. James was a unique, exceptional man, true friend and quite the storyteller, his stories were always filled with adventure and many good laughs. James stayed true to himself and lived a very fulfilling life.
