Obituary of Sarathy Mandayam

It is with great sadness, our family announces the passing of Sarathy, at the age of 86 on Friday, July 23, 2021, at Princess Margaret Hospital, Palliative Care. He will be deeply missed by the love of his life of 55 years, Jaya, his loving son Anand (Jennie), his grandson, Christopher (Marion), and great-granddaughter Miya. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters in Toronto, Montreal, and Bangalore, India, and their extended families everywhere. Sarathy was a kind and gentle person who lived his life thoughtfully with a sense of humor and a positive outlook on life. After Sarathy’s retirement, he enjoyed traveling and adventures like the CN Tower EdgeWalk (on his 80th birthday) and debating the politics of the world over a beer. He will be sadly missed. 

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service or viewing prior to his cremation.
