Obituary of Roy Lough

It is with great sadness the family of Roy Lough announces his passing on July 28, 2021 at the age of 94.

Roy was the youngest of three children born to Charles and Minnie Lough in Springbrook, Ontario on March 18, 1927.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife Jean (nee Marks).  Loving father to Grant Lough (Mieko) and Kim Glen (Pete), and cherished grandfather to Kevin Glen, Jason Glen and Mika Lough.

At the young age of 17, Roy left his small town to begin his big city life in Toronto. He found work as a pressman with the Toronto Telegram and enjoyed working there for many years, as well as with other well known printing companies.

As an avid Blue Jays fan, Roy attended many home games at the Skydome, travelled to Dunedin multiple times and very rarely missed a televised game.  Roy was always ready for a good game of Euchre with family, friends or anyone wanting to play.  He will also be fondly remembered for helping others through his involvement in many AA and community activities.

Following Roy’s wishes and Covid restrictions, there will be a private service for the immediate family this month.  Those wishing to make donations in Roy’s memory are invited to support the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (https://bcsc.ca/get-involved/donate/)

Happy and loving memories of Roy will last in the hearts of family and friends forever.
