Obituary of Beverley Constance Young

YOUNG, Beverley Constance (24 April 1931 - 10 December 2021). After a brave, determined struggle following a stroke, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Beverley passed away peacefully on Dec. 10 at age 90. A true indie spirit and a guiding star to many from her early days in Vancouver and through her later years in Toronto, her quiet strength and mighty voice - nobody belted out Summertime at Christmas family gatherings like our “GG Bev” - will be missed greatly. Predeceased by husband Gerry and brother Ferdy Baglo, she is survived by sister Gloria, sons Rene (Linda), Chris (Pauline) and Warren (Grace), grandchildren Derek, Ashley, Nicole and Jessica, and great-grandchildren Sydney, London, Maddox, Peter, Christopher, Ella and Oliver. She was always appreciative of the care she received at Lakeside LTC Nursing Home, and her family would like to thank the Lakeside staff past and present for their unceasing, compassionate care, and in particular Parul, Margaret, Sharna, Claire, Athena, Michelle and Doctors Masgoret and Nimic. A private celebration of life will be held in the New Year.
