Obituary of Lorin Fraser

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorin Fraser announce his passing on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in Toronto. Dad was born on December 19, 1934 in Thorburn, N.S. to the late Hudson and Marion (Forsyth) Fraser. He was fiercely stubborn, fiercely independent, and fiercely loved.

He enjoyed many years of operating various Texaco and Esso stations in the Whitby, Coburg, and Toronto areas, and prior to his retirement, independently as Lorin Fraser Service Center.

He leaves behind his daughters Sandra Robar (Bruce), Jeanette Wentzell (David Frank), grandsons Lorin (Jessica), Brennen (Vicky), Justin (Vanessa), Randy (Vahni), granddaughter Shaylene, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving him are his siblings Phyllis MacDonald, Don Fraser, Mary Cameron (Lawrence), Anna Kelly (Colin), Margaret Hurtubise (Gary), Judy McKay (Gord), Bill Fraser (Jeanie), and Eileen Ryan, sisters-in law Pat and Marilyn Fraser, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Harvey and Allister Fraser, brothers-in-law Gordon MacDonald and Mike Ryan, sister-in-law Ellen Fraser.

There will be no service by request. Memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue of choice, or Union Presbyterian Church in Thorburn, N.S.
