Obituary of Leslie LeFeuvre
September 23, 1926 – July 1, 2023
Les passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, in his 97th year. He will be greatly missed by his loving companion Shirley and her family. He is survived by son William (Julia), daughter Judy (Phil), son Tim (Pat), three grandchildren, David (Laura), Mandy (Brian), Laelia (Quill), and great-grandchildren Dayna, Natasha, and Isaac.
Les was born and raised in Maidstone, Saskatchewan. Following the Second World War, he settled in Edmonton where he worked with the Canadian National Railway. He moved to Toronto in 1972. Les was a proud Veteran and active member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a familiar presence in downtown Toronto where he pinned poppies for many, many years, right into his 90’s.
Thank you to Dr. Moxley, the nurses and all the staff at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre who cared for Les with kindness and compassion, honouring his dignity these past 18 months.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
