Obituary of Rene Giraudy

René Ian Giraudy
September 3rd, 1955 - June 28th, 2023

René found his peace on sunny June 28th, in Oshawa, Ontario. Born in Birmingham, England to Winnie and Louis Giraudy, René grew up in England, Saint Lucia, and Canada. He joined the army as a young man and served in Germany and one of Canada's Peacekeeping Missions to the Middle East before working for the Department of Corrections in Ontario for more than 25 years. 

René was younger brother to Michael (Evelyn) and Paul (Angela), father to Erin and Ian, uncle to Jacqueline, Jennifer, Laura, and Tyler, and former long-term partner to Penny.  He was also a very proud dog dad. René loved a good laugh shared with family and friends, and a good conversation in the evening around the fire. He will be missed dearly.

A private family service will be held later in the year.
