Obituary of Helmut Bosshardt

It is with infinite sadness that we announce the passing of Helmut Bosshardt, 89, on Friday September 1, 2023 in the palliative unit of Providence Healthcare after his battle with prostate cancer.

Helmut was born in Dusseldorf, Germany on 6 April 1934, where he earned his trade guild certificate. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and an accomplished carpenter, with a flair for built-ins and whimsical but functional items. 

Father of Nancy Bosshardt, Peggy Bosshardt and Kathy (Ross) Aldred, loving partner of Helga Petters, Opa to Tabitha (Gary), Allison, Lindsay, Karlie, Shelby, Olivia and Nathan (Tala) and Opi to Desmond (Des). Father figure to Mike (Lisa), Lydia (Ron) Caitlyn, Milan & Caira, Kirsten, Diane (Dan) Jake & Emily. He was predeceased by his wife Olive (Stewart) and sister Hermi Krebs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday September 24th, 2023 for drop-in between 2 and 5 pm at 47 Frost St., Rexdale ON
