I have many fond memories of my time with Robby beginning with cups of tea and playing 952, for hours, with Rob and his mom "The Chief". Our times together in the 70's were epic playing ball hockey, touch football, poker, darts and enjoying a cocktail or two.We had similar taste in music and Rob's extensive album collection expanded my love of so many different types of music! Our times in Parry Sound and Otter Lake was an awakening of cottage life that I never new - where we had the freedom like I have never experienced before - l loved our time in the outdoors by the lake swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking, canoeing, endless darts, Carter Camp, cards, music, BBQ's and the wonderful people we hung out with - truly amazing!! We enjoyed Otter mostly in the summer but we did a few winter visits to the Brew Inn and l gained a new appreciation for winter cottaging.
Hanging with the "Quintet" - Lee Rose, Robby, Larry Powell, John Fenn and myself - so many crazy times! Our legendary visits to Ontario Place and the Sailors Pub (Mom), The Jarvis House for live music, the Jolly Roger for cross Country skiing, Helmut, Linda and family in Waterdown - all great memories!! We were such social animals that the weekend never came fast enough so we would meet on Thursday nights for cocktails, darts, cards or just hang out - oh how l miss those times.
My sincerest condolences to Patti, Jessica, Mitchell and the extended Brewin family.
