Obituary of Dianne Kelly
Beverley Dianne Kelly
Sept. 24, 1946 - April 8, 2024
Dianne Kelly (77) passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2024, always remembered by the amazing solar eclipse that took place that day.
Born in Toronto to Bob and Dorothy Abbott, a little sister to June (Jokinen), Dianne lived most of her life in the small town of Bond Head, where she raised her children, Lisa, Ryan and Lindsay. After briefly living in Haliburton, and reconnecting with her daughter, Laura, she moved to Toronto’s West-End.
Few things made her happier than being out and about in the city, walking up Roncy or taking the 504 streetcar to the Eaton Centre. Although she didn’t travel very often, she loved learning about people and places through her passions - books, music and theatre.
She became a treasured resident of the Shoreview - always sharing her opinions and views and caring deeply for her neighbours and friends there.
Dianne took great pride in her grandchildren (Julian, Zana and Lawren), loved her ‘granddogs’ (Dr. Adam and Penny), and shared deep affection for her son-in-law (Rupert).
As her health declined, Dianne remained connected through social media. She was grateful for her online community - friends from the Bond Head days, those she made through her children, extended family, in particular her niece and nephews, neighbours and the many friends she made via online groups. They all made her so happy and gave her purpose and comfort especially when she was no longer physically able to go out and enjoy the city.
Let us lift her up in our hearts and remember Dianne with a cup of coffee, watching her favourite TV shows, never too far away from a Facebook comment telling you how much she loves you.
