Many fond memories of Ross (aka FIL- father-in-law) having met him many years ago when I started dating and then married his son David. He was a man of few words but one who showed his love by helping out. He was our "go to" dogsitter for our dog Jake, helped my parents out by house sitting their place in Thornhill when they went to Florida, and an extra pair of hands for any cottage project that we had on the go. Ross was present when our dear sweet Parker was born, waiting patiently outside the delivery room to meet his first grandchild. Grandpa Ross would carry Parker around, swaying and rocking her for hours to give us new parents a break. When he needed a break, he'd quietly go to the table to play solitaire while still keeping a watchful eye out for Parker while she slept. The arrival of Parker and then a year later baby Skyler brought him great joy. Having missed his beloved Margaret for so many years, his 2 granddaughters brought the sparkle back to his eyes. Dearest Ross, while I am not sure what is in store for any of us in the next life, I chose to believe that you are now reunited with your Margaret. May you make up for lost time by spending eternity together. Please keep an eye out for us down here. Much love DIL (daughter in law Galyn)
