Obituary of Gisela Gutsche
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Giselle Gutsche, who left us tragically on September 30, 2024, at the age of 88.
Born on May 8, 1936, Giselle has now joined her beloved husband, Manfred Gutsche, her mother, Karla Bartz, and her brother, Hartmuth Bartz in heaven. Giselle's legacy of love, laughter, and joy lives on through her family: her three daughters, Eva Gutsche, Bernadette Glover (Jim Glover), and Madelaine Johnston (Doug Watts), as well as her brother, Ralf Bartz, sister-in-law, Marianne Bartz, nephews Joachim & Bernhard Bartz and four grandchildren, Nicole Johnston (Mike Littlewood), Amanda Glover (Mitch Thompson), Tanner Johnston (Tracy Johnston), and Rachel Glover. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren who brought her so much pride —River-Lee, Mavrik, Kya, and Charlie—with her fifth great-grandchild expected in March.
Known for her passion for gardening, Giselle contributed greatly to the local horticultural society and was admired for her incredible home-cooked meals, her infectious laughter, and her boundless love for her family and friends. Her warmth and kindness touched everyone she met, and her memory will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.
The family warmly invites you to join us in honoring and celebrating Giselle’s extraordinary life at St. Catharine’s of Alexandria Catholic Church, (56 Hearn Street, Bond Head, Ontario, L0G 1W0) on Tuesday, October 15. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m., with the family welcoming attendees starting at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you sign a petition https://www.change.org/gisellegutsche) and/or consider donating to a GoFundMe page - https://gofund.me/6ba539fb - an initiative to help ensure a safe walking path for seniors and pedestrians near the Elden Residence - something Giselle was passionate about and actively advocating for in partnership with members of the community.
