Obituary of Glen Woodcock
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glen Woodcock on November 21, 2024, at Humber River Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on October 30, 1952, Glen was a cherished son of the late Arthur and Margaret Woodcock.
Glen was a devoted father to Sharyn (Steve), a proud grandfather to Maggie, and a beloved brother to Garry (Jocelyn), and Elaine. He was the loving lifelong partner of the late Liana Woodcock, a relationship that was a testament to enduring love in unconventional circumstances. Glen also leaves behind his nieces Natalie and Isabelle, step-niece Emily, and many others who loved him dearly.
A man of unparalleled charm, Glen was a true friend to all who knew him. He was a lifelong fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, a history buff and held the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. Glen's ventures ranged from owning a share in a racehorse to running an ice cream shop and bars, he approached every opportunity with enthusiasm.
Glen will be remembered for his wit and kindness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A celebration of Glen’s life will be held in the new year. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in his memory.
