I have so many wonderful memories of Jackie stretching back to my early childhood. My brother and I were never allowed to call her “Aunt” Jackie, as she said that made her feel old, so I have only ever called her simply Jackie. We saw her and Uncle Joe every Sunday after church and lots of other times besides, for we grew up not far away. All our special holidays were spent together, often at the house they shared with our grandparents. I remember the few times all Jackie’s side of the family were there too when we ate downstairs on every available surface, including the pool table. Jackie managed all of this with her sisters and she was unfailingly kind and welcoming.
Joe and Jackie often went camping with us and slept in their station wagon. I remember sleeping in the front seat with them and waking them up in the night yelling in my dreams, but there was only laughter about it in the morning. One adventure had my mom and brother’s tent nearly sliding into the quarry at Sherkston when there was a terrible storm in the night. We all piled into her station wagon and awaited the arrival of my dad and uncle who had left the 2 women and kids camping alone.
Jackie you were such a sweet and wonderful lady, and I will miss our long phone chats and your humour and delightful stories, your singing me happy birthday on the phone (you never forgot a birthday) and your brave and positive attitude. You were the best aunt (who wouldn’t be called an aunt) anyone could ever have, always supportive and caring and the best great-aunt to my children and great-great aunt to my grandchildren. I will miss you terribly, but I know you have joined Uncle Joe and are with the angels.

Our Aunt Jackie.
Jackie babysat me every few days after school. I was bundled into a wagon and we went to Loblaws for a few groceries. The ice box wasn't very reliable!! I stayed with Jackie and Joe each summer for a few weeks. I was a working teen and my parents and three brothers went to the cottage. I was spoiled and I loved it! Life came full circle and later in life we visited and babysat Jackie so she wouldn't be alone especially at night.
We camped with Jackie and Joe in Midland and Sherkston. Their camper was a long, blue station wagon and ours was the oldest, canvas tent on earth. We sat by the fire with roasted marshmallows and shared stories.
Jackie was competative at cards. We got together almost monthly for years to try and win the poker pot of fifty cents. This led to us planning a trip with Jackie and Joe. We met up in Las Vegas. Joe cruised the casinos by day, Dave golfed and we gals shopped. We had to look glamorous to attend shows by Jay Leno and Roger Miller. It was a great holiday.
While our first home was being built we stayed with Jackie and Joe. They welcomed two kids under five and the four of them loved the story reading, throwing a ball and lots of extra cuddles.
Jackie was our friend. She was always generous with her tender loving care and advice! We love you and cherish our fond memories.
Love
Dave, Marilyn, Tracey and Chris

Mrs. Colucci will be sadly missed . Jackie and Joe were my first customers and my longest standing customers to date . They helped me start my Landscape property maintenance business when I was just 17 years old. Through the last 42 years that I have been servicing their property, they were the kindest people and were like family to me . Jackie would always pop her head out her front door wanting to say hello. In the last 5 years my son Micheal also had the privilege of meeting Jackie and doing work for her . Your kindness will always be remembered, Micheal and I will miss you. Thank you for everything. Paul and Michael

Jackie, I lived with you for the first five years of my life, pushing you out of your bedroom, using your lovely red nail polish to paint my doll & yet you held nothing against me & we had decades of wonderful memories, days out in the country with all the aunts & cousins, many lunches & until the family got very large, all the holiday dinners.
In more recent years I enjoyed our chats on the phone & staying with you for a few days where we pretty much talked non stop.
I will miss you Jackie.See you in the next galaxy & I'll bring the butter tarts!!
All my love, Gale

What great memories we have of a wonderful aunt! They go back to when I was a toddler, living on Eglington Ave. and you worked in the car wash (where you met Uncle Joe). Over the years, there were lots of family get-togethers, and you were always the one who stayed behind to wash the dishes. Later, you were free with your "medical" advice, and always thinking of your nieces and nephews (and grand nieces/nephews) you would fill plastic bags with newspaper and magazine clippings and saved tidbits you thought would interest us....all personalized for each of us in the family. Then there were Blue Jays souvenirs you graciously always passed on to Andrew and Adrian. I will remember being jammed in the back of your station wagon with all my cousins, driving "way out" to the country in Pickering, all the great lunches with the aunts, and you and Uncle Joe driving to Ottawa to visit us. And of course, lots of good gabs on the telephone, filled with lots of your good humour. And I am forever grateful for your passing on so much information about the family's history. You have been our matriarch for quite a few years now and we will miss your amazing memory of knowing everybody's birthdays. We will miss the phone calls on our birthdays when you would sing Happy Birthday to us! You have been a strong woman, the first of your 3 other sisters to drive, and with Joe by your side, you travelled the world. Thank you for all the love and support and interest you have given to me, and shown my family. We love you Jackie, and you will be missed. Love Vikki and John
