Obituary of Grace Olive Peto
January 27, 1919 – December 11, 2018
Grace Olive Peto (“Cookie”) passed away peacefully in Streetsville ON just short of her 100th birthday. Born in Montreal (St. Lambert), Cookie was predeceased by her husband of over 70 years, Bud, in 2012. She is survived by two sons, Brian (Corrie), their three children Geoffrey (Ewelina), Blair (Christina), and Melanie (Matthew), and son Lance (Kathryn) and his three sons Christopher (Angy), Grant (Holly) and Evan. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren Lily, Gabriella, Regan, Aurora, Nikolas, Everett, and Reid. Cookie and Bud raised their family in Thorncrest Village in Etobicoke, where Cookie was an avid golfer and bridge player at Islington Golf Club. As a child, and later with her husband and children, her joy in life was spending the summer with her family in Ocean Park, Maine. Cookie was a devoted wife and mother, kind and gentle, who will be missed dearly by her entire family. Celebration of Life to be held in Spring/Summer 2019.
