Obituary of Peter Frederick Bull

PETER BULL

Died December 7th in his 77th year after a long illness.

Peter deeply loved his children Jennifer (Chris Smith), Frances, Eric (Rosaria Alexandre), Tessa, Rachel, and Georgia; grandchildren Nicola, Riley, and Sydney; his siblings Tony (Ann), David, Martha, and Cathy; nephew Roger, niece Jessica; and his partner Debbie.

A talented Architect and designer of many acclaimed projects in Canada, Europe, and Russia, the highlight of his long career is the extraordinary Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia. Peter’s favourite place in the world, however, was by the fireplace in the great room of an old farmhouse in the Mulmur Hills, with a dog – his beloved Sandor, Terry, or Lucy – at his feet, reminiscing about childhood shenanigans and outrageous escapades with his brothers and sisters – vividly retold for levity and dramatic purposes. 

Peter loved reading, drawing, painting, photography, cooking, travel, making us laugh, and the thrill of outdoor adventures, in particular navigating lakes and rivers on family expeditions with a leaky canoe held together with duct tape and screws.
