As I was sorting some photos from days gone by I came across this lovely picture of a young Robyn with her sister Dawna, who is holding my family's cat Mr. Spice. Sadly when I searched Robyn's name it led me to the heart breaking news that she had passed away in 2022. I babysat the Lange girls in our hometown of Russell, Manitoba on a regular basis for many years. Robyn was just such a pleasure to be around, she was confident and caring and wise beyond her years. It does not surprise me to hear that Robyn was a talented singer, a blessing she inherited from Beverlie Lange. I remember babysitting on more than one occassion while Mrs. Lange would honour a bride and groom as the soloist at a wedding ceremony. When I think of the Lange family one word always comes to mind, that word would have been kindness. Robyn, Shannon and Dawna had parents who loved them so very much, and it is apparent that Robyn lived her life honouring that strong foundation from her childhood. My family moved away from Russell decades ago when Robyn was still a young girl on the verge of her teen years. Although I did not have the opportunity to get to know the grown up Robyn I would like to thank the person or persons who penned the lovely tribute Obituary to a remarkable woman. It touched me deeply being able to get to know the roads that Robyn followed and appreciate all of the lives that she touched. Robyn was a remarkable woman who faced adversity with great fortitude. To Shannon , Dawna and all who were close to Robyn, please accept my belated; however, very sincere condolences on your great loss. This world would be a much better place to be if there were more Robyn Langes.... Judith McDougall ( nee Kukura)

I was fortunate to sing with Robyn and Shannon in the Banner County Singers for several years when they lived in Russell MB. Robyn was always the calm, reasonable, gentle one in the group. I often thought of them and wondered where they ended up. Reading her obituary and comments from friends, it is clear that Robyn made a lasting impact on those who knew her. A life well lived. My condolences to her loved ones.

I was so saddened to hear of Robyn's passing. We met sailing and spent many happy hours together on the water and socializing with good food and wine. I always enjoyed Robyn's humour and enthusiasm; she will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to your family. Ann

A belated happy birthday to my friend. Sorry that we didn't get to celebrate it together with a trip to Paris, ON, in the springtime as we talked about. I will take the sun hat that Robyn gave me on any trip, near or far, so that a piece of Robyn travels with me. I really enjoyed being Robyn's 'dog with a job', fetching food, comfort items and anything for Tanner. My promise to Robyn was anything, anytime. I am grateful for the conversations we shared and the opportunity to find common ground in our lives. Sadly I will miss the celebration of life but I know that Robyn would not want me to return from our roadtrip to Nfld. I wish you had been given the opportunity for many more turns around the sun my friend. Miss you. XO My donation to the cancer society is in your memory and that of our mutual friend Geoirgia and hopefully something for the research that may have a positive impact on the lives of the people who have cancer, thinging especially of my sister.

I worked with Robyn for many years at George Brown College. I always respected her energy and how deeply she cared about students. Our shared Manitoba roots were an important starting point for our friendship. I will miss our long conversations, brunches and glasses of wine by the lake. Robyn often talked about the importance of family and her long term friendships. She gave and received a great deal of love. She will be missed. Rest in peace Robyn.

I worked with Robyn for many years on the Ontario College Counsellors group. She was hard working, diligent, thorough, fun, positive, helpful, kind- the list could go on. I visited her lovely condo despite my cat allergy and had a wonderful visit which I hoped would carry on every time I was in Toronto. We loved to laugh together and she was always up for fun. I am so saddened to hear this news. The obituary captures her multi dimensional parts beautifully. She was a good and exceptional soul. Until we meet again dear Robyn, guide us all from the other side. With much love, Audrey Rosa

Hi again Audrey - I am sorry for your loss as well. She was indeed a good and exceptional soul. I believe she can communicate from spirit so I hope you both continue your conversations. You will be happy to know that Tanner (the cat) is doing well in his new home and has found two other kind people to love him to bits, with love to you in return, Cheryl Gorman

My condolences to Robyn's family and all her friends. And extend a deep gratitude to so many of her family, friends, nurses, doctors and care-givers for their compassion and dedication to doing all they could do to keep her with us and then to ease the suffering she had in her last months with us.
For me, I miss her friendship, her council, her generosity and mostly her positive spirit.
I will always hold happy memories of times we had together.

What a lovely tribute to Robyn. Her joyful spirit and warmth shine through in that photo. I will always remember the first time I met Robyn. She was dressed as Carmen Miranda with a big bowl of fruit on her head at a Halloween party at Chris and Barb’s place (circa 1982). I instantly liked her and enjoyed her company at gatherings over the years. She will be deeply missed by so many. Rest In Peace Robyn.
