My lovely, sweet, kind grandmother will leave only happy memories with my brother and I. You can ask him also, we definitely spent a lot of time growing up, playing outside and running the show inside of 88 Yorkview.
The back yard parties, always looking forward to seeing everyone at one house. Something Grandma cherished. “Everyone of the grand kids get over here right now, I want MY picture”.
She always made sure we had food and the Den was vacated. Gave up watching her re runs/new episodes of Coronation Street so that Brian and I could watch TV in there.
She just wanted everyone to be happy I feel. You didn’t even need to have the Du Maresq last name, or Cyr, anything.. you could be someone’s partner, friend, a neighbour, you were always welcome at any gathering of any size.
Only happy memories.
